Different Bingo Rooms

One confusing aspect I have seen when playing online bingo is the vast amount of bingo rooms that each bingo provider offers.  Most of the differences of these rooms (when comparing to other rooms at the same bingo site) tend to deal with the following qualities:

  • Cost of each bingo card

Bingo sites can use the different rooms to offer different price points for each card purchased.   Options for penny (1 cent), nickel (5 cents), dime (10 cents), quarter (25 cents), and dollar ($1) cards are offered at most online bingo sites, in addition to rooms for high rollers.

  • Different Color Rooms

Most sites will alter the look and feel of each room as they know that different people have different tastes.  So if you don't like the color of the bingo room or how it looks, you can check out a different room (instead of checking out a new bingo site).

  • Free Play vs Money Play

Many bingo sites have free play bingo available, which have their own room separate from the pay to play bingo offered.  These free bingo rooms are offered by most to try out online bingo if you are having second thoughts on depositing or playing for real.

  • Chat Games Available

One staple of online bingo I have found consistent with the sites I have played at are chat games. 

What are chat games you might ask?  Chat while you are playing?

Most bingo rooms have chat built into the interface of the game person they designate Chat Leader (CL).  This person interacts with the people playing the game.  Most of the time the CL says good luck to new players and congratulates winners.

Sometimes the CL will ask trivia questions.  If you answer first (or second or third at some sites) the CL will give you some amount of bonus points that can be redeemed to enter contests or prizes.

So getting back to the different bingo rooms, I have seen different themes for the chat games, like movies, songs, or sometimes sexual in nature.

  • Jackpot Rooms

Some bingo rooms offer jackpots for hitting bingo when a specific ball is called as your last number.  Sometimes these jackpots can only be won in a jackpot room.  Keep that in mind.
